General Donations

General donations are very valuable gifts because they allow us to allocate funds wherever the need is greatest. While AIDS Athens is grateful for the support it receives in grants, that support is directly tied to specific programming and cannot be used to respond to an unforseen circumstance or new challenge that presents itself in our clients or the community.

That is why general donations are so vitally important. Your donation ensures that AIDS Athens has the resiliency to meet any challenge the disease presents and to advance the mission of the organization in new opportunities. And, every donation, no matter the size, is a tremendous benefit for AIDS Athens, our clients and the community.

Recognize a Friend or Loved One

General donations are also an excellent way to recognize a friend or loved one. AIDS Athens accepts donations that are made in tribute, honor or memory of an individual. Tribute donations are made in general recognition of an individual to show your acknowledgement of the importance of our mission to that person. Honor donations are made to recognize a specific accomplishment or milestone for an individual (e.g. graduation, birthday, holiday and/or anniversary). And Memory donations are given to honor the legacy of someone who has passed.

When you designate your gift, we will contact your friend or his/her family to acknowledge the gift that was made and will tailor the acknowledgement according to any instructions you may provide. If you donate online, please provide the type of recogition and any instructions in the "comments" section.
