eBay Giving Works

AIDS Athens has partnered with the number one consumer website, eBay, to give people a new way to give.  Last year, nonprofit organizations received over $36 million through eBay Giving Works. In this program, buyers and sellers have the opportunity to make a donation to AIDS Athens in conjunction with an eBay purchase or sale.

For those Sellers and Buyers wishing to support our cause, use the directions below or download our eBay Giving Works Tip Sheet.

For Sellers

To use this service go to eBay Giving Works and click on the "Sell" and then "Non-Profit Directory" links to search for AIDS Athens. You will be provided with an option to donate a portion (10 - 100%) of the proceeds of your sale. And, whatever percentage you choose, eBay will deduct that same percentage from your listing fee. For example, if you donate 10% of your sale, your eBay fee will be reduced by 10%. Your listing will aslo receive a special ribbon icon to let all eBay purchasers know your commitment to giving. This program has been very beneficial to Sellers on eBay who have seen a substantial increase in business from those who wish for a portion of thier purchase to go to charity.

For Buyers

For those of you who are eBay shoppers, you can also benefit from this program. On the eBay Giving Works site, you have the option to search for all of the Sellers who presently have listings that benefit AIDS Athens. The next time you are looking for that unique item on eBay we encourage all our supporters to go to eBay Giving Works and check-out those vendors who have made a commitment to support our cause.
