Donations

AIDS Athens is a local non-profit serving Northeast Georgia. We have over 300 clients and 95% of them fall below the poverty line. We also work very hard with limited funding to provide free HIV testing and spread the message of prevention throughout the community. All donations made to AIDS Athens are 100% tax deductible. Donations to our organization can be made several ways.

Donate @ Community Events and Yearly Campaigns

Go out to eat or to the bar and donate during "Night out for Life" when a portion of your drink and food sales are donated by local area resturants and bars. Night out for Life will be held in October 2008 - Date Coming Soon.
You can also donate during our direct mail campaign "Ribbon of Life." This mail campaign occurs in the Fall. To add your name and contact information to the direct mail list, please email info@aidsathens.org
Host a dinner party or be a dinner guest during "Festival for Life." Festival for Life is an annual event in which supporters host dinner parties and ask guests to make a tax-deductible donation equal to an evening out with friends. Our annual event will take place on February 23, 2008.

Host an Event

Are you having an event and want the proceeds to go to AIDS Athens? Many people and organzations throughout the year host events to raise money for AIDS Athens. Please contact us before the event so we know of your plans. We would also love to help you with media surrounding the event and notify all our donors.

Donate Needed Items

We are in constant need of non-parishable food and personal care items for our Food Pantry. Many of our clients are homeless, formerly homeless and disabled and some are ineligible for food stamps. We also will accept clothing for any size, age or gender. Clothes need to be washed before dropped off.

Vehicle Donation

Unwanted vehicle? Don't trade in. Donate it. You can now donate your vehicle to AIDS Athens by clicking on the car donation icon or calling 1-866-332-1778. It is easy, tax-deductible, dosen't cost you anything to donate and can be worth more to you than a dealer trade in. You can donate anything and in any shape - car, truck, motorcycle, boat or even a plane.

"In Memory" donations are also accepted at anytime of the year.

Volunteer

We are always in need of good volunteers throughout the year in the areas of Client Services, Outreach and Prevention Education, Fundraising and Special Events, and Office Assistance. Volunteers assist our clients in the food pantry, clothing closet, and as buddies. Volunteers also help spread the prevention message. Programs include information tables at businesses and health fairs, community presentations, educational programs, and poster campaigns. Internships are available and we do accept volunteers with required hours of service. For more information on volunteer opportunities contact our office.
